Christian Aparicio
Christian Irving Aparicio González was born in Mexico city, in the thirteenth of July, 1975. He's been pupil of
Matador Manolo Mejia since 1992. He made his debut like a novillero in April 4, 1993, at Plaza of Xochimilco. That
day he was in the card with Ricardo "El Negro" Montaño and "Morenito, fighting Doddoli Hermanos's bulls. He cut
an ear and received the ovation of the crowd.
1995 was a very important year for him: He became the best novillero of the sixth novilladas season at Plaza
"Antonio Velazquez" because he cut five ears in only three afternoons.
In the same year, he made his debut at Plaza Mexico (September 10). He had fought only 17 novilladas when
he fought at Plaza Mexico. In that afternoon the card was: Paco Gonzalez, Uriel Moreno and Christian Aparicio.
They fought Armillita Hermanos's bulls. He showed an excellent performance but he failed with the sword and lost the
trophies. People called him to receive a great ovation.
In 1996 he fought two times at Plaza Mexico: The first time (July 9), Herman Juarez and Antonio Morua were in
the same card. They fought francisco Rivera´s bulls. He made it well with capote and muleta, but he failed with the sword
again. The second time (July 14), Iñaqui Elias and the french novillero Antonio Lozada were in the same card. They
fought Cerro Viejo's bulls.
Up to September 15, 1996, He had fought 28 novilladas, being awarded 26 ears and one tail.
He likes the classic art of bullfighting, and he knows that he has to make his best effort every afternoon. His
favorite pases are the "Verónica", and "Media Verónica", "Gaoneras" and "Fregolinas" (with the capote). With the muleta, he
likes to fight by "naturales", and his favorite adornments are the "Martinete", "Desdén", change of hand, "Trincherazo" and
"Molinete". ha has been gored only one time. He is a novillero who shows every afternoon that he could be a figure.
